Michael Page (Mr. Bardolph in Lettice

This is Mr Page's 8th season with the Players. Recent plays
at Peterborough include: Laughing Stock, for which
he won a Best supporting Actor award at the NH Theatre Awards,
The Return of the Prodigal, Proof, Candida, You Can't Take it
With You, Mr. Pim Passes By, and The Cherry Orchard,
for which he won another Best Supporting Actor at the NH Theatre
Awards. Other Players credits include George in Who's Afraid
of Virginia Woolf?, Serge in ART, Jaques in As
You Like It and Frank in Educating Rita. He has
performed and directed in may theatres in Michigan where he
lives with his wife, Jane, and two daughters, Camilla and Chloe
(who are once again with him in Peterborough, occupying the
family's newly converted house on Middle Hancock Road). He has
been associated with the BoarsHead theatre in Lansing for the
past fifteen years where some of his favorite roles have been
Vladimir in Waiting for Godot (directed by Gus Kaikkonen)
and Trigorin in The Sea Gull. He has recorded many
books on tape (65 at the last count) including Great Expectations
and The Three Musketeers. Michael is the director of
theatre at Calvin College in Grand Rapids Michigan where he
directed a revival of St. John Hankin's Return of the Prodigal.
His production of Paul Osborn's Morning's at Seven
opened last June at Circle Theatre in Grand Rapids. In collaboration
with four other playwrights, he wrote and performed Voices
from the Edge, a dramatic meditation on the nature of catastrophe,
and is currently at work on a play about he Russian poet Marina
Tsvetaeva. Mr. Page has recently returned from Romania and Hungary,
where he gave presentations about Community-Based Drama. (2005)
