Gala & Auction a Show of Community Support

Our 21st Annual Gala & Auction theme was Community Counts: Celebrating the Monadnock Region, and celebrate we did! The Players’ theatre bubbled with good conversation and laughter on November 7th, as people circulated around the lobby and backstage area viewing the silent auction items up for bid.

Food (wonderfully prepared by Sage with Thyme) and drinks were plentiful, served by an enthusiastic crew of volunteers. When the live auction began, shortly after 7:00, the theatre came alive with Kathy Manfre, Piper Goodeve, Ken Sheldon, Lisa Bostnar, ad Michael Dell’Orto providing laughs and brief musical interludes. Charlie Cobb kept the crowd entertained as the region’s favorite auctioneer. And as we had hoped, the community pulled together to make this event – the Players’ only fundraiser of the year – a huge success by showing their support of the Players with their ticket purchases and bids.
