1st Annual Flanders Award

Kraig Swartz was awarded the first annual Flanders Award after the September 18 "Talk Back" of The SantaLand Diaries.

The Flanders Award was established last summer in a bequest from the late Charles Flanders. Through the bequest, an endowment was created, the proceeds of which are given to award the best performance by an Equity Actor during a season. The winner is voted on by the Peterborough Players Board of Trustees. Kraig was awarded the Flanders Award for his work during the 2008 season for Doubt: A Parable; Stones in His Pockets; and An Ideal Husband. Next summer, the Flanders Award will be given to an actor for his or her work during the 2009 season. The Peterborough Players congratulates Kraig for his excellence on stage!
