Dickinson
Cindy Dickinson (Mrs.
Krebs in Inherit
the Wind) has been working in professional and educational
theatre since her apprenticeship at The American Stage Festival
in 1975. Much of her time has been spent at ConVal Regional
High School in Peterborough, where she teaches English, Speech,
and Drama as well as directing the extracurricular theatre
program. She has directed over 65 shows- everything from Shaw
to Sondheim- including four New England Drama Festival productions.
She worked as Scenic Artist and Assistant for Edward Gorey
on the Peter Sellars production of Don Giovanni,
and as Scenic Artist and Assistant for Marjorie Kellog, Patricia
Woodbridge and John Kassarda. In addition, Cindy has served
in a variety of artistic and administrative positions with
the Peterborough Players, The American Stage Festival, Andy's
Summer Playhouse, The Raylynmore Opera and the Durham Summer
Theatre. She has presented at the New England Theatre Conference
and is past president of the New Hampshire Educational Theatre
Guild, for which she has also served as Festival Adjudicator.
Cindy's most recent stage appearances include Amanda Wingfield
in the Glass Menagerie, Lady Bracknell in The
Importance of Being Earnest, the woman in Theatre
Trip, Melissa in Love Letters, Miss Lynch in
Grease, and Mrs. Gibbs in scenes from Our Town.
