Holden Vicki S. Holden.
Ms. Holden has just finished her twenty-third season with
the Asolo Theater Company in Sarasota, Florida. Starting as
a draper/patternmaker, she continued as costume shop manager
for over seventeen years. She is now Director of Costume Design,
designing an average of four shows per season, assisting the
producing artistic director with the selection and supervision
of the other costume designers and arranging production design
meetings with each production's team of director and designers.
Ms. Holden's work has also been seen at other theaters in
the Sarasota area as well as in Chicago, Kansas City, Oklahoma
City, Off-Broadway in NYC, and at the Dublin Theater Festival
in Dublin, Ireland. Several of her designs for productions
for Asolo's Theater for Young People have been seen at the
Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. Some of her most memorable
productions include Twelfth Night, The Voysey Inheritance,
The Three Musketeers, Arms and the Man, Look Homeward Angel,
You Never Can Tell, The Kentucky Cycle, Art, From Berlin to
Broadway With Kurt Weil and The Life and Times of
Nicholas Nickleby. A graduate of the University of Oklahoma,
before moving to Florida Ms. Holden was the resident costume
designer for The Oklahoma Theater Center for six seasons.
