Plácido Domingo – Live in HD at Peterborough Players
Domingo sings title role in Simon Boccanegra

Peterborough, NH (February 1, 2010) –The Peterborough Players presents The Met: Live in HD opera Simon Boccanegra, by Giuseppe Verdi, starring Plácido Domingo in the title role. Simon Boccanegra will be simulcast on Saturday, February 6th at 1 PM on the Players’ 10’ X 16’ screen.

Four decades into a legendary Met career, tenor Plácido Domingo makes history singing the title role in this political thriller, which is written for a baritone. Adrianne Pieczonka, Marcello Giordani, and James Morris are his co-stars in this moving and tragic story of a father and his lost duaghter. James Levine conducts. Approximate running time is 3 hours 40 minutes with 2 intermissions. Casting is subject to change without notice.
