John Freimann

John Freimann is very pleased to be in New Hampshire for the second time in his life; the first was when he worked at the Dartmouth College theatre in the mid-60s. John has had a varied theatrical career; from messenger boy at Warner Bros. to Production Assistant on Broadway, to scenic painter at NBC and CBS, to a 25-year chairmanship of the Drama Department at Whitman College in Washington State. (He received an Honorary Doctorate of Letters there this May.) Having retired from teaching eight years ago, he finds himself happily back in professional theatre. Even while teaching, he found time to perform, design, and direct at many summer and regional theatres such as Arena Stage, St. Louis "Muny," and Berkeley Rep. He made his screen debut in Devil's Advocate and in his first commercial, pitched Sprite. (2001)
