"Theatre as a Medium: Translating Visual Arts to the Stage"

Go behind the curtain with "Theatre as a Medium: Translating Visual Arts to the Stage," a free community colloquy - a collaboration between Sharon Arts Center and the Peterborough Players.

Join Melanie McDonald, Director of Education at Sharon Arts Center and Keith Stevens, Managing Director of the Peterborough Players on Friday, July 2nd at 5:30 p.m. for a look "behind the curtain" into the role that design, costume, and lighting help to define the actor's world and provide compelling context for the audience.

The panel of experts includes Kathy Manfre, Equity Actor; Lee Dunholter, Scenic Designer; Rebekah Kersten, Costume Designer; John Eckert, Lighting Designer; and Keith Stevens, Peterborough Players Managing Director and panel moderator. They bring a combined 112 years of experience to a discussion of the role that each medium plays in creating successful performances. Questions and observations will also be invited from the audience to create a lively community colloquy that will expand participants’ understanding and appreciation of the interplay of the visual arts in theatre.
