Peterborough Players’ Old Entrance/Shed Dedication
Donors Refurbish Shed and Plaques

Peterborough, NH (November 23, 2011) – Donors Barbara and David Lauren donated the funds to refurbish the old entrance (fondly called the “shed”), to the Peterborough Players’ theatre. They also donated funds to seal the plaques contained within the shed that list each season’s plays, dating back to the Players’ opening year in 1933, and to add four new ones.

The hand-lettered plaques were discontinued after 1995, so new ones were made for the years 1996-1999 in order to complete “Peterborough Players in the 20th Century.” The new plaques were lettered by Cathy LaRoche, whose family members had lettered many of the older plaques. The Players held a dedication ceremony in late October to mark the completion of the project, and all who attended enjoyed reminiscing.
