About our Core Company
For over 90 years, the Peterborough Players have helped shape the future of theatre by inviting young artists to work with our team for our summer season. Many of those who have joined our company have continued to have successful careers in the arts.
The 2025 Summer Season, we are seeking Core Company members for Technical apprenticeships.
We are currently seeking apprentices interested in costumes, set construction, stage management, company management, scenic painting, and lighting. We are also looking for apprentices who are interested in rotating through departments, as each production has different demands. Core Company members will work in the shops under the supervision of technical staff and designers.
Core Company Members are paid $300 a week and provided with on-site housing, which includes a private bedroom, a shared bath with one other Core Company member, and access to a communal kitchen and laundry room. Core Company members are responsible for taking care of themselves and for their own meals. Due to the theatre's rural location, a personal automobile is helpful but not required.
The members of our Core Company should plan on arriving in Peterborough on May 25th or 26th.
Send a letter of interest, and resume to [email protected]
Please note: The schedule is demanding and hours are long. A summer stock season requires commitment and discipline, but the opportunities to learn, grow, and network with seasoned professionals are immense and rewarding.
