The Peterborough Players theatre is on land once known as N'dakinna, the traditional, cultural, spiritual, and ancestoral homeland to the Abenaki, Pennacook and Wabanaki Peoples, past and present.
According to Tribal oral tradition, the Abenaki people have lived in the area now called New Hampshire for more than 12,000 years—since before Tribal memory.
Sovereignty was never ceded and this land was taken and held by force.
We acknowledge, recognize, respect, and honor with gratitude the land, waterways, and the people who have stewarded N'dakinna throughout the generations.
