For the first time, we are holding theatre based classes in things like costume
mask making, improvisational games, prop building and more. The children in the
Monadnock region will be able to participate in several classes and workshops to
not only entertain, but foster a real love for theatre.
This summer, we are taking the opportunity to reimagine what our offerings for
children can be, to meet the changing needs of the theatre and to serve the
children and families in the community.

Some of our goals:
- Buying a van to create a real touring show for kids
- Reach more young people and families in the Monadnock region
- Increase our exposure and audience
- Add a kids’ show in the fall that can travel to area schools
- Field trips are becoming cost prohibitive for many school districts restricting exposure to arts and cultural activities. Bringing the shows to them can help bridge that gap.
- Creating a mini theatre camp, building upon the classes we are starting this
- year. Training the next generation of theatre artists and lovers.
We have a lot of dreams, but building a program like this costs money. The
program we can build is entirely dependent on how much money we can raise.
We all have different means, but if 200 people donate $500 each, in the Spring we
could be announcing our new Children’s Show Tour. Taking it to camps, schools,
and communities in the Monadnock region, building our audience, and serving
the families in our area.
